After years of debating what to do with Burlington’s decommissioned electric plant, it was decided to strip out the walls and floors and just leave the concrete footings and steel I beams as a kind of urban monument to the city’s industrial past. It remains a challenging but interesting site for photographs. The little yellow sign warns folks that the four-story steel structure might not be the best place to seek shelter from lightening.
